1. Hungarian & Hungarian-American Artists: This program is open to individual artists, collectives, or cultural creatives of Hungarian descent, as well as those whose work has a significant impact on the Hungarian American cultural community. Artists may be based either in the U.S. or Hungary, provided they collaborate with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization based in the United States.
2. Collaborate with a U.S.-Based Producing Organization: All applicants must partner with a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, referred to as the “Producing Organization,” which will apply for the grant on behalf of the artist. The Producing Organization must have the capacity to execute public-facing programs that highlight Hungarian culture and the artistic or cultural project at hand. Please note, The Producing Organization must be a registered U.S.-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization located in the New York Metropolitan area. Please note, the Producing Organization will act as the official applicant, as they will ultimately manage the logistics, production, and finances of the project.
3. Visa & Legal Status: Tulipán is not responsible for sponsoring or arranging any visas required for participation in the project. Applicants and Producing Organizations are responsible for securing all necessary visas and legal documentation on their own, prior to receiving grant funding.
